Atira Cares in Action: Cookies from the Heart for Ronald McDonald House

Atira Hotels is proud to spotlight another meaningful moment of giving through Atira Cares, led by Angie Leasure and the teams at Fairfield Inn & Suites Naperville/Aurora and TownePlace Suites Chicago/Naperville.

The teams volunteered at the Ronald McDonald House, baking cookies to bring a small moment of comfort to families staying there while their children receive medical care. Ronald McDonald House provides vital support by helping families stay close to their children during serious illnesses, offering stability and comfort during an incredibly difficult time.

To support the effort, Atira Hotels’ corporate giving program, Atira Cares, sponsored the volunteer event by covering the cost of ingredients needed to bake three dozen cookies, which were delivered to the hotel property. This support helped make it possible for the team to focus on sharing kindness with families in need.

For Angie Leasure, the cause holds deep personal meaning.

“Ronald McDonald House is important to me because it supports families who are staying close to their children while they fight serious diseases. During such an overwhelming and emotional time, no family should have to worry about where they will sleep or how far they are from their child.
